ThoughtRun is designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe your thoughts, running data, and voice recordings belong to you and only you. This privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
Data Collection
Workout Data
ThoughtRun collects workout data from HealthKit including heart rate, distance, pace, duration, and calories burned. This data is stored locally on your device and synced via your private iCloud account.
Voice Recordings
Voice memos you record during runs are stored locally on your Apple Watch and iPhone. These recordings are synced between your devices using your private iCloud account.
Location Data
ThoughtRun does not collect or store GPS location data. Distance information comes from HealthKit's workout tracking.
How We Use Your Data

- ✓ Link voice memos to specific points in your workout (distance, heart rate, time)
- ✓ Sync data between your Apple Watch and iPhone via iCloud
- ✓ Provide playback functionality for your voice memos
Data Storage and Security

- 🔒 iCloud Sync: Data is synced using your private iCloud account with end-to-end encryption
- 🔒 No External Servers: We do not transmit your data to any external servers
- 🔒 No Third-Party Access: Your data is never shared with third parties
What We Don't Do
- ✗ We do not collect analytics or usage data
- ✗ We do not use tracking technologies or cookies
- ✗ We do not display advertisements
- ✗ We do not sell or share your data with third parties
- ✗ We do not access your data on our servers (because we don't have any)
Your Rights
Since all data is stored locally on your devices and in your private iCloud account, you have complete control:
- • Access: You can access all your data anytime through the app
- • Delete: You can delete individual voice memos or entire sessions
- • Export: Your data is stored in standard formats on your device
- • Revoke Permissions: You can revoke HealthKit or microphone access in iOS Settings
Children's Privacy
ThoughtRun does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app is designed for adult runners and requires an Apple Watch and iPhone.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
